"Daughter of...". Sister of...". Carme lives in a mountain village deep in the heart of rural Galicia together with her ill mother and her father, Ramón, with whom she barely communicates. She works in a bakery and needs to escape from that oppressive environment, but circumstances always prevent her from taking that final step. Trotting. Running away. Trot takes place during the weekend in which the "Wild Mane Crop" takes place, the ancestral fight of man and horse. The village begins to prepare for the fiesta. Luís, her older brother, returns to the family home for a few days with his girlfriend, María. Trot is the struggle between man and horse, between reason and instinct.
